PAUL "BUDDY" SCHWARZE
Newburgh, N.Y.Paul "Buddy" Schwarze, a retired plumber and a life-long resident of the area, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2003 in Rhinebeck.
He was 84.The son of the late Paul and Bertha Hines Schwarze, he was born July 26, 1918 in New York. He was the widower of the late Angelina Schwarze. He was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church and the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years in Newburgh.
Paul graduated from N.F.A., Newburgh-Free Academy. He was a self-employed plumber and also worked for the Local Union No. 373.
Survivors include two granddaughters, Paula Horton of Poughkeepsie and Renee Ratschki of Marlboro; one great-grandson, John Patrick Horton. He was predeceased by his wife and his daughter, Nicolina "Nikki" Mallardi.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2003 at Brooks-DiDonato Funeral Home, 481 Gindey Ave., Newburgh.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 15, at the funeral home.
