Mary had a previous marriage in 1840 to Samuel STANTON. From St Caths records:-XV 336, 1st qu arter, Northampton Samuel died in 1842. From St Caths. records: 15 255 3rd quarter,Thrapston e, Northampton.
Mary died at home (Great South Road, Remuera) from a Strangulated Hernia.
The Minister at funeral was Rev J. Richards, Church of England. The informant was Thomas Dickinson, Undertaker from Auckland. Mary is buried in an unmarked grave.
