We celebrate the vibrant life and legacy of Alberta S. Roesser, age 74, who departed this world on June 24, 2026, in Rochester, NY. Alberta was an incredible force of light, carrying a young spirit and a joyful energy that brightened every room. She lived with a generous heart, making everyone she met feel safe, cared for, and deeply special.

A dedicated patriot and fierce advocate for human rights, Alberta championed equality and women's issues, serving proudly as President of Rochester NOW and Vice President of NYS NOW.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Thomas J. Roesser; her children, Shawn and Shannon Burleigh; and her siblings, Roy and Linda Schreib, Marilyn Alt, and Elaine and Jim Van Overbake. As well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
