There is no evidence that his wife Catherina Elizabeth Müller died, nor is their any new marriage record to suggest that he had another wife. Coupled with the fact that the mother's first names are still Catharina Elizabeth, I suspect a transcription error.

The third child's baptism transcription lists the mother as Catharina Elizabeth (no surname)
