[7289] It seems that his birth year is difficult to read sometimes it is reported as 5 April 1767 other times as 5 April 1761.

Since he was reported to be 72 years old in 1829 I think 1761 is more likely.
The baptism record says 5 April 1761 and since baptism records are arranged by year it also leans towards 1761
