WARNICK _ Peter Beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on Saturday, January 28, 2006 at LMH after a lengthy illness. Peter will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Marian, son Michael (Cheryl) and daughter Susan Marshall (Greg), 6 grandchildren Christian, Carrie (Matt), Alison, Brady, Jay (Mirjana) and Lindsay; sister Helen Prost (George) of Winnipeg, Kaye Dunne of Brandon and Steve (Maryilyn) Calgary and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Walter (Kaye), sisters Anne and Mary (John). He had a passion for the sport of hockey and the comradeship it provided. He joyfully played the game from his prairie days through his mid 70's including many pilgrimages to Santa Rosa to "lace 'em up" with Charles Schultz at the annual "Snoopy Tournament". He was adored by everyone he met for his jovial spirit and devotion to his family. Gentle and good natured, he always had a smile for everyone and every animal he met, and never uttered an unkind word of anyone. He will be remembered most fondly by his family for always having the time and energy to lace up the skates with his grandchildren, for peaceful times spent at camp playing cards in lawn chairs and making blueberry pancakes in the trailer, and for the humorous nicknames he gave to all the neighbor-hood's cats and dogs. He was, in his caring happy ways and simple love of life an inspiration. A private family gathering was held Friday February 3, 2006.
