George A. Justin, Sr., age 74 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Clifton, NJ, June 17, 1933, son of the late Abram W. and Selina Preswitch Justin, he had resided in Readington Township, NJ since 1957.
A former Lieutenant with the New Jersey State Police, he retired in 1985 after twenty-eight years of service. During his career he was stationed in Hopewell, Hightstown, Edgewater Park, Princeton, New Brunswick and Woodbridge, NJ.
A United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War, he served aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Coral Sea. He was a Member of Darcy Lodge #37 F. & A.M., Frenchtown, NJ; a thirty-second degree Scottish Rite Mason; and was a member of the New Jersey State Police Former Trooper's Association.
Surviving are his wife of forty-nine years, Gail August Justin; a son and daughter-in-law, George and Monica Justin, Jr. of Jackson, NJ; a daughter, Charlotte Justin of Wind Gap, PA and her fiance, Robert Mills and his children; a sister and brother-in-law, Selina and John Lotito of Lebanon, NJ; four grandchildren, Ashley Liptak, Brittany Liptak, Gabriella Justin and George Justin; and several nephews.
