Born to John Edward and LaRue (Deatrich) Moss. Her given name was Adda LaRue, but she was known as LaRue. She attended the University of Pittsburgh where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She married Alexander J. Schreib on December 16, 1950 at Heinz Memorial Chapel on the University of Pittsburgh campus. They had one daughter. LaRue Schreib was involved in PTA, Eastern Star, DAR and Girl Scouts. Mr. Schreib preceded his wife in death in 1979.
